Our Curbside Garden
What We're Doing
We built two garden boxes that look like the they do in the picture.
They are 2ft by 4ft and have a high part for the potatoes. We are growing:

Potatoes

Lettuce

Radishes
-
Beets
-
White onions
-
Yellow onions
-
Red onions
What It's For
Why we are doing this: To help the community after the vegetables fully grown we will harvest it and bag it up and let whoever needs the vegetables let them have them. It's also just to make the community look nicer.
My Seeonee Award
The other reason for the community garden is for my Seeonee award. I'm in my second year of cub scouts and the Seeonee award is the highest badge you can earn. First you have to earn 1 personal achievement badge then you have to earn 10 survival skills badges you have to do 15 hours of community service and have a special project. The curbside community garden is my project. I have to earn it in my 3rd year. I'm 2nd year but it's never to early to start!
